~Young At Heart~
Every year that goes by
The calendar says I'm a little older
Well, I'm here to tell you
This is what I find
I am older and wiser
But, I'm keeping a younger
frame of mind
And this is what I want to say
My Friend
Life is too short
to let things bother you
Let troubles go their own way
Put them aside
There will always be
a new set of troubles everyday
I found that I could sit and worry
about troubles all day long
And you know what.......
I would get up the next day
Troubles were still there
They were never all gone
So, this is what I did with them
every night
I tucked them inside my prayers
Right out of my sight
Then, I wake up each new day
from the very start
Feeling alive and refreshed
Yes, feeling young at heart
At my age
being weighed down with troubles
I just cannot afford
Did you not know this.....
We can throw our burdens on the Lord
Yes, we can
For he has told us so
I started to do this
along time ago
My Dear Friend
This is what I wish you would do
Stay forever young at heart
Allow the Lord to carry
all your troubles too
~Cast thy burden upon the LORD,
and he shall sustain thee~
