In making a home there is work to do,
Work that shows my love for you.
As I wash the clothes and hang them on the line
I think of the pride I feel as you wear them each time.
Hanging the linens straight in a row
Every towel and snowy sheet
Soaking up the sunshine sweet
To settle softly around loved ones as they bathe and sleep.
My heart swells with love and pride
As I work to keep my loved ones happy
And clean the house in which they reside.
I am filled with love as I do each task.
Making a home is an act of love
Worth more than anyone can know
Because God blessed my home from above
And gave it to me, my love to show.
Thank you, Lord for this family of mine
And May I ever work with a smile
Showing my love in work of every kind
That makes our home full of love all the time.
