~WHAT DOES HE SEE~

If the Lord looks down
across the valley
What do you think He sees
People not paying attention
to Him
Or people down on their knees



Does He see the eyes of worship
Looking to the heavens above
Does He look inside each person's heart
Is each heart filled with love

Would He see human kindness
Would He see a helping hand
I know what He would like to see
Together.....all of us stand



Does He see people speaking
to one another
sharing a kind word
Peace around the whole wide world
has never before occurred



Why?

Because not all people
apply the Bible to their life
They want to continue to do wrong
Then look to God to remove their strife

They want to be His people
Just on Sunday....you see
But the rest of the week
They want to be.....
Only what THEY want to be



Yes.....
Jesus died for all of us
This is true......
However...
I believe all of us
have some work to do



I think that if we keep
goodness and righteousness
within our sight
In the long run.....
We may just get it right

Then when the Lord looks down
across the valley
He can smile with His heart content
He'll see His earth a paradise
And His children living
in the way that He meant
