There is no mistake about the sound
She is crying in the night
Once strong, full of life
She no longer wants to fight



They were to be together forever
A bond that would never break apart
Now alone and afraid
Wolf with a broken heart



She looks around, he is gone
Searching all night
and all through the day
The world is now a cold, lonely place
How will she survive by herself
He has gone away



Far away in the distance
Listen and you will hear
Her cries in the night
of a broken heart
Make no mistake about it
the sound is clear



Nights are dark
The days are dark for her too
She wanders aimlessly, no place to go
Becoming weak, she doesn't know
what to do



The warmth is draining form her soul
Surely she will lay down and die
She sings to his spirit,
that is all she has left
And in the night
you will hear her cry
