~School Of Life~
I'm certainly not a young school girl
But there's life in me still
I enjoy every day
I'm far from being "Over The Hill"
I have had many experiences
Bruises I have felt
Basically life has been good
Some bad I have been dealt
I think that is true
with just about everyone
We all see gray clouds
between days of sun
We have all laughed until our sides ached
We have all cried our tears
Most of us have had.......
"What am I going to do now?"
kind of fears
I think that's why many can relate
to the words that I write
I'm far from being a scholar
But I believe I have a little sight
I never went to college
I'm in the school of life
That's the hardest school to attend
So many classes to take
before your life's end
I've been sent to the "office"
(a nagging conscience)
for a few mistakes
Well, nobody is perfect
So, you try to get on the right track
with whatever it takes
But when I get my diploma
Above the signature HE signed
I hope that I can read......
"To other people, you were kind"
For that would be graduating with honors
The highest on the list
People caring for people
After all......
Is that not why we exist?
