"MARCHING HOME"
When the Troops come marching home
All will give a loud cheer
With smiles and happy faces
on everyone waiting here
Lives were saved
But, lives were lost too
Open arms to welcome you back
Hearts go out to all of you
What price, freedom,
did you pay
One life too many has gone away
A war that had to be won
To free the innocent,
held by a tyrant, it had to be done
Evil will rise
It will not win
When the job is over
Families and Friends
wait for their Brave Men
All will remember, with prayers and tears
The ones that will not return here
A silent ache inside the hearts of all
As the fallen soldier awaits his call
Their lives shall not have been
lost in vain
For the reason will always remain
A war fought, so people,
in freedom and peace may live
Comfort now, to their Families, give
So now, Brave Troops,
do not feel alone
All are awaiting for your safe return
When you come marching home
