Where is the Kindness
Once seen by all
Please hear me out
I send this haunting call

Where is the Help
A neighbor just had to ask
Never too busy
To assist with a task

Where is the Joy
Shared with one another
All like a family
Sister and Brother

Where is the Compassion
One tear from a person's eye
Brought us immediately
To stand by their side

Where is the Tolerance
When we use to understand
Illness and age
Take so much from a man

Where is the Patience
To enjoy each day
Don't hurry along
Savor every moment
along the way



Where is the Respect
For young and for old
Something we just did
Without being told

Where is the Love
For Family, Neighbor
and Friend
One chance is all we get
We'll not pass this way again

So slow down
Come and sit with me
for a while
Have a cup of tea
Let's share a smile

You are feeling
a little sad today
Let me hug you
and wipe that tear away

You don't feel like talking
That's Okay
I'll just hold your hand
We can sit quietly
Because I understand

Let me be your Friend
You be my Friend too
Just reach out to one another
Really...
That's all we need to do
