Be like a child and not in such a hurry
Rid your mind of problems and worry
Did you ever stop and just look at a bird
Especially with its unusual song you head

Did you ever look at a bug on the walk
And wonder if bugs, to each other, talk
Did you ever stop for a moment and feel the breeze
Watching as it blows and rustle the leaves

Did you ever really smell a sweet rose
Run barefoot through the grass
as it tickles your toes
Did you ever? .....
What's that you say, "Never?"

Oh, you did perhaps when you were small
But, now as an adult, not at all
Start looking at these things
from a child's point of view
Start each day with childlike innocence,
fresh and new

Or better yet ....
Take a little child out for the day
Follow their lead and play
With these little ones
you can have so much fun
You'll be laughing so hard
before the day is done

Don't let life slip away from you
Children have common sense in this
and they know just what to do
They never let a day .... get away
