We do the best we can Teaching our children everyday The rules are very simple You do things the Lord's way "But, Mom," our children plead "So and So gets to do this or that" We respond with, "That's okay ... However, this is the house you're at" A conversation I've had many times And it's a conversation I won Many parents can relate, I'm sure Now that raising little children is done It's not easy work, but worth everyday Our home has truly been blessed by the Lord I would do it all over again Children to be proud of .... What a wonderful reward I just wanted you to know Even with all the battles we had It touches my heart when you now say to me... "Thank you, Mom, for all the times you said, "No" I'm so glad!" And, yes, I have even gone to my parents and said, "Thank you, for all the answers ....
