He thought the balls were a toy
Gave him so much joy
Take a look
Decorations he took
Broke three or four, oh boy!
The tinsel, so shiny and bright
It filled him with delight
All over the floor
Lay tinsel, galore
Goodness what a sight
Candy canes were a treat
He loved them, oh so sweet
Half eaten sticky candy
Now this is just dandy
Candy canes stickin' to my feet
The gifts all pretty and wrapped
Here comes that sneaky little cat
Chewing the paper off
Then he starts to cough
Left a big mess, right where he sat
Smokey was his name
Christmas was a game
Oh, dear me
He ran up the middle of the tree
And that tree never looked the same
Down it came with a crash
Everything on it began to smash
With a yell, I cried
"CAT .... YOU BETTER HIDE!!!"
As I tossed the tree in the trash!!!!
'Cause, nothin' could I fix
It tumbled like a ton of bricks
I've come to the conclusion
And this is NOT just a delusion
Christmas Trees and Cats DON'T Mix!!!!!
