My Last Letter

It seems like forever
That I went away
To fight for my country
To make a better day.



Months have passed and things got worse
I've lost count of the time
I'm sending this letter to let you know
Right now I'm doing fine.



Each time I write I feel like
It may be my last letter to you
I pray a lot and live in fear
Just like I know you do.



I know it has to end sometime
I'm hoping things will get better
Most of all I pray to God
This wont be my last letter.
