~*~MY HAPPINESS~*~


There she goes, I think
And my heart begins to sink.
My happiness has gone away
And I feel so blue today.


I was so happy and care free.
My time was full
And I was busy as could be
With no thought of sadness
but joyous and thankful.


With all my family gathered around
Full of life and activity.
We lived our lives day by day
Enjoying the good and enduring the bad
Never fully aware
of the blessings that did abound.


Time flew by and suddenly it seems
The loved ones grew up
And began to move on, one by one
Following their dreams.


As each departed the home
A piece of my heart went along
Following the life they made
Wishing them success
and never of life to be afraid.


Time has come for me
To realize life never stays still
And the state of my heart
Depends not on others to fill
But rather is up to me.
