~FOR A MOTHER-TO-BE~

There is a little person
Growing inside,
Who some day will give
You so much pride.



Proud when you hear
Their first word spoken,
And be there to mend
Their heart when it's broken.



Proud to see
Where they have crept,
In awe when they take
Their very first step.



Soon they will leave
For their first day of school,
And bring home papers
Which they think are "cool".



Before you know it
Graduation is here,
Time has gone by quickly
Year....after year.



One day your home
Will be empty inside,
But you'll always remember
How that child gave you pride.



Now, none of this has happened
But it won't be long,
You will be holding your baby
And singing a song.



A song from your heart
That is like no other,
To say you are proud
To be his Mother.
