~MERMAID'S DREAM~
Rest sweet mermaid
Sunlight disappear
Slumber peacefully
Nighttime is here
You have filled the day
with your magic
Many hearts you have won
How many of us look for you
before the day is done
Searching across the water
within the rising tide
Just for a glimpse of a mermaid
But, within the surf you hide
Never do we see you
because you swim away too fast
For you are just so small.....
and the ocean is so vast
But, it all belongs to you
It is your domain
How can we find a mermaid
On the land we must remain
Everyone still knows you're there
somewhere in the deep
Moonbeams tenderly kiss your face
As the waves gently rock you to sleep
Just as much as we dream
of finding a mermaid
watching from this shore of sand
A mermaid's dream is to come join us
and walk upon the land
