~Making A Difference~ Our friendship makes a difference to you and me For each of us needs someone to be There for us sharing our joys and sorrow Today as well as tomorrow. Our friendship is like a quiet pool, Serene and restful in the effect it has on us To love and a difference make As our life's journey together we take. Our friendship had needs to replenish As our life takes sudden turns from peace to trouble. Like fresh water flowing into a pool to refresh Our friendship receives added love from start to finish. With need of someone to be there for each other We give space and never try to smother. We make a blend of the perfect kind For when one is down the other is up, we find. As a pool has overflow You and I share our friendship with others, too. When our love begins to spill To those who need a friend as on life's road they go. Making a difference is not hard for you an me For our Lord showed us the way to be To love our neighbor and wish for them the best While leaving to the Lord all the rest.
