~Magical Christmas Dreams~
 

As a child I had magical dreams
Of Christmas and all it brings,
A wish for a porcelain doll for me
Never found its way under the Christmas tree.
Other gifts I did get
Whose memory lingers with me yet.



The magic of Christmas is more than gifts
But love and joy which give our heart a lift.
Warm greetings of Christmas cheer
From friends and family we hold dear
Fill our heart with love
As we remember the perfect gift from God above.



The magic seems to fill the air
As we send cards, decorate and shop everywhere.
People we meet have a special glow
As they smile and shout a cheery "Hello!"
We anticipate loved ones coming to visit a while
And joy fills our heart making us smile.



Dreams of finding the perfect gift for each one
Reminds us of God's perfect gift, the birth of His Son
Who was born on Christmas day
In a Manger filled with hay.
So, we know our gifts, though not perfect,
Are just a symbol of God's perfect gift Christmas Day.



Let the magical dreams of Christmas come alive
As God's love you show to all you meet
And bless those around as you share
Making each one feel special and know you care.
Then the magic will not be a dream but real
As the Spirit of Christmas you feel.



The Magic will not be found under the tree
But as you accept God's gift of love and believe
That Christ was born that salvation you might receive
Magic occurs in your heart
And a new life you start
As your life is transformed as God's child.
