Sometimes in my solitude
My mind is deep in thought
That's when I forget my worries
And listen to my heart.
I watch the sun rise in glory
I feel lonely and distraught
I pick myself up and brush myself off
And listen to my heart.
When the sun fades away each evening
As the moon and stars depart
I try to think positive if I can
And listen to my heart.
My heart tells me to be thankful
For each and every day
For every opportunity
The Lord has passed my way.
