I'll just while away the hours
on this lazy afternoon
A perfect time to do nothing
On a beautiful day in June



I'll float away into daydreams
And watch the butterfly
Lay upon the soft green grass
Then get lost somewhere in the sky



Sometimes you just have to take a day
Then do nothing at all
If you listen very carefully
You'll hear a lazy day giving you a call



Don't ignore that call to you
Your spirit needs a day like this
It gives life back to your soul
As you absorb each ray of the sun's kiss



We are so hard on ourselves
Waste a day when so much
work needs to be done
Most of us feel that this is
something we should not do
Well, the decision has been made
A lazy afternoon is yours
I'm giving permission to you
