~Lasting Friendship~
In the course of life, we’re never sure,
Just what a day may bring…
or what discomfort we may face,
or song that’s left to sing.
I know you have a lot to face,
And doubt may enter in…
But let your heart be filled with peace;
I’ll pray for you, my friend.
Tomorrow holds an unseen path,
A steady, uphill climb…
But two or more become a team,
So place your hand in mine.
Life brings tears and laughter,
And the morning sun still smiles…
Silently, our spirits meet,
And friendship spans the miles.
No matter what tomorrow brings,
Or where our paths may lead…
The two of us shall meet again,
for hearts in Christ, are free.
