~I'VE BEEN BLESSED~ Autumn leaves are falling and harvest time is here. What do I have to harvest this year? I've been blessed far more than I know But in what ways does it show. First of all, I start to recall The blessings I treasure most of all. God gave me life in a very special way Being born to godly parents is a blessing I treasure every single day. Not being an only child but having loving sisters and brother makes me smile. We share a special bond sealed at birth Continuing to share love all the while Knowing I am the most blessed on earth. Free education is there for any who desire it. A keen mind has a thirst for leaning and knowledge Which found fulfillment all the way from grade one through college. Acquiring learning is a blessing held dear making life full and complete, a perfect fit. Though not wealthy by any means, life is rich beyond compare Because of things not tangible to be sure For love and friendships are mine to share. My heart swells with pure joy when love comes sweet and pure. To receive love from a child racing forward with sweet smile and open arms Makes happiness overflow from a thankful heart. I can open my heart and clasp loved ones close in return Because I have all my senses of touch, sight, smell, taste and hearing, A blessing for which many yearn. A loving husband, children and grandchildren are a wonderful blessing for sure Because a part of you goes on through eternity As well as makes the present full of love sweet and pure. When a loved one leaves the void is filled with happy memory. Most of all I have been blessed with a good name. One I inherited from family and the other I chose. For you see, I am a Christian being free from shame. I am blessed in many ways many never know!
