~His Pumpkins~


October pumpkins remind me of life
God picks you up and takes you in
Away from all the surrounding strife
Washes off all the dirt and worldly sin



Then opens up your top just enough
To remove seeds of doubt, hate, greed,
And scoops out all the other icky stuff.
Then carves on a smiling face you'll need




And instills His light inside of you to shine
The symbol of warmth He wants you be
So in the darkness you will look so fine
A beacon for the rest of the world to see
