If Grandma & Grandpa were here today
Know what they would call a 'happy meal?'
Not a drive-through window, burger and fries
Or restaurant, all you can eat, deal



A happy meal at their house
Would be a family delight
Grandma would cook everything from scratch
From soup to desert, all made just right



Grandma, Grandpa, Aunts, Uncles
Mom, Dad, all the Kids too
Around the table laughing, talking
The whole meal through



No one would be running off to meetings
No one taking off anywhere
Savoring every bite ....
We would ALL be there



Now, THAT is what they would call a Happy Meal
Right down to Grandma's homemade bread
Yes, if they were here today
I do believe Grandma & Grandpa
would just shake their head



We need to get back to Grandma and Grandpa's
way of doing things with our family
Then we would see
Just what a 'Happy Meal' really could be
