~Grandma's Special Love~





Grandma has a special love for me
Which she shows in many ways
As she shares her love for all to see
That her love will never go away.



Grandma listens to me
When I have questions and want to know.
She hears what I have to say
And knows the perfect answer to makes my fears go.



Grandma opens her heart to receive
My love given so eagerly
And has faith to believe
That I shall open my loving heart to her, faithfully.



Grandma's love is tender and kind
Offering guidance and direction for me
Making sure I stay pure in heart and mind
So I always have joy and happiness and a better person be.



Grandma loves to play and have fun
Planning ways to make me laugh and smile
As we spend time together being creative and exploring ways
To stretch our minds and find contentment all our days.



Grandma tells me stories and sings to me
Opening my imagination to other things
Which are possible if I let my dreams take wings
To magical places and ideas of fantasy.



Grandma helps me open my heart to a loving God
Who sends His angels to watch over me
Every waking hour and even when my head begins to nod
And sleep overtakes for sweet rest for me.



Grandma keeps me in her prayers
As she watches me learn and grow
For she wants me to be not only her grandchild
But also her Heavenly Father to know.
