FIREFLY FAIRIES

OH ....
Be very careful with fireflies
They're actually little fairies
in a firefly disguise
It really is a pleasing site
To watch them fly through the night



They twinkle and flutter all around
Zigzag up then Zigzag down
Traveling from very far
So please don't catch
and put them in a jar



Like a prisoner they are caught
Then they become quite distraught
How would you like to be locked away
Then you couldn't have fun and play



So the next time you see a firefly
It's really a little fairy that is quite shy
Be very quiet and they'll stay around for a while
They are so entertaining
and they'll even make you smile
