~FEELING WILD~
Sometimes I get to feeling' wild
Rocking away in my rocking chair.
I get to traveling back in time
Remembering riotous fun as a child.

I remember spinning round and round
Until I was so dizzy I fell on the ground.
When I try that now
the rocking chair begins to tilt
And on the floor I am spilt.

Yep, I am getting wild jes' settin' here
Not much joy am I feelin'
And it makes me kind of crazy
Fer my memory is getting a bit hazy.

The more I set the madder I get
Cause it ain't suposed to be that way
Fer these are sposed to be my golden years
And all I can do
is set here in my rocking chair.

Since I am getin' a bit wild
I seys to myself I'll see what I can do
To liven up my life a bit
And I sent this note to you, my child.

Don't think I have gone plum wild
Fer I can control myself, tis true
But I was jest gettin' a bit blue
Wanting to hear from you, precious child.

Now don't fume and fret
I can still enjoy myself, you bet.
I just set here musing
But my mind I ain't losing.
