I settled into my covers all snug and warm
And slipped off to dreamland
Of wishes fulfilled this Christmas Day.
Loved ones gathered with happiness and charm
Blessing my heart in every way.
Gifts were chosen with care
And received with much holiday flair
For each had given and received
The best of gifts they believed
And the best gift of all was the love felt there.
I felt so blessed and cherished by one and all
As we had a Christmas ball
And happy stories we told
Of fellowship sweet
With comraderie between young and old.
Good night to this wonderful year
That I have been blessed to live
And feel love and share all I could give
With hopes for a wonderful New Year.
