~DANCE OF THE ROSE~
Gracefully sways the rosebud
in sunlit dewy morn
Her dance she now stands ready
For you she will perform
Presenting every petal
in summer's gentle breeze
Draped around so tenderly
her cloak of soft green leaves
Gift she gives sweet fragrance
to her audience a delight
Red the color of her love
offers a pleasing sight
Chorus of Whippoorwills
in majestic trees
Robin and the Mourning Dove
sing out in harmony
I have set the stage
to pass this on
Now everyone just knows
To send a card
You give a smile and touch the heart
that sees this dance of the rose
