New things comin' everyday
A brand new vegetable I have found
It grows really well on the couch
It doesn't need the ground
Now don't raise your eyebrows
and look at me with doubt
I'm tellin' you the truth
I just saw this vegetable sprout
A person once was sittin' there
At first I thought I was grown
a "Stuffed Tomato"
But, low and behold
I just grew me a "Couch Potato"
It started to feed and
fertilize itself
By getting beer and junk food
off the kitchen shelf
Hours turned into days
Then days into weeks
"Hey Honey, where's the remote control?"
OH MY GOSH!!!!
IT SPEAKS!!!!
This is an amazing thing
that I've got
I'm gonna call
Ripley's Believe It or Not
I ran outside to tell my neighbors
Sally and Fred.......
Sally says to me...
"You have found nothing unique
I also have on my couch growin'
Mister Potato Head...."
