Through the years
hundreds of wishes I have made
more or less
Then tossed them up into the air
As each one fell back down to earth
I do not know exactly where
I knew that my desires
could not be all wrong
Each and everyone of them
came from my heart's song
It was something that I dreamed
Something that I had wished for
Are those wishes all gone
and not around me anymore
Were my wishes too outlandish
or just too hard to grasp
Were they really just too foolish
Something I should have never asked
I will not give in to that belief
I do not think it's true
Anything that's inside your heart
Is real and there for you
So search the sky with all your heart
and take a look around
The wishes that were tossed up high
Will sooner or later come floating down
Just be ready when they do
come falling where you stand
Don't hesitate, don't look away
Reach out and hold tight
each wish within your hand
