Peace ... you escape us
So many tears we cry
In our hearts we search
But you seem to just pass us by
Every man, woman and child
I believe.....
really does search for you
So much turmoil on the earth
Sometimes we wander aimlessly
not knowing what to do
Is war the answer
we may ask
Will this turn things around
Will it help in our search
Can you be found
What is the answer
if our heart is pure and true
But we come up against the person
that is not searching for you
Do we just turn and walk away
Pretend they are not there
Leave them to destroy others
Act like we really do not care
I guess if each person
searches inside their heart
they will find
Most of us really do want peace
for all of mankind
Especially do we want
a better world
for our daughter and son
This is what the Lord wants
Can we all pray that....
His will be done
I am passing
The Candle Of Hope
to you
Can you find it
inside your heart
to pass it along too
This has been sent
so many times before
I know
But never should we give up
Let's all pray
that around the world
it's light will glow
Then perhaps,little by little
Yes, just perhaps One by One
Someday when we look around
At Last!!
Peace will be found
