"A STAR WITHIN MY HEART"


Up in the heavens so many stars
Only one caught my eye
This special star saw my gaze
So, down it came to me
falling from the sky



I took the star and held it in my hand
A warmth traveled through me
with it's glow
A feeling like I have never felt before
Never will I let it go



You my shining star
Bring joy into my life
Love into my heart
I just existed, but never did I live
All the world around me
was falling apart



I will keep this star within my heart
Safe from pain and sorrow
Good-bye to the sad yesterdays
I will give to you only happy tomorrow's



And if you must go
Take me with you
my beautiful star
Let me share eternity with you
in a galaxy away so far



For one shining star
is beautiful to behold
But two shining together
cannot be out done
The light could be
as bright as the morning sun



As sure as I take every breath
If my star's light would fade
If I cannot be where you are
I will not look for another
Because for me
You are the only star
