I found a song of peace
When all things fell apart
Jesus put a new song
Deep inside my heart

My mind would not stop
With sadness and the pain
I let things get to me
And tears I cried in vain

These notes of peace he gave me
Played beautifully within my soul
Others will do as they wish
But let Jesus take control

He watches us so carefully
And when he sees what's wrong
He'll take your hand to guide you
Then fill your heart with song

Life will not change
When we try to direct our own step
But, his steps we need to follow
Those are steps we'll not regret

I will not return evil for evil
I will keep Jesus within my sight
And then, give him my heart ... and say,
"Please Dear Lord, set me on the path that's right"

I send this to you My Dear Friend
Because I care about you
Always be happy and be at peace
Let Jesus fill your heart with song too
