AH YES,
IT'S LABOR DAY!

It commemorates the contributions
the workers have brought to this nation
So everybody goes to parades and picnics
For this "commemorative" celebration

That's what ya do ....
Pay tribute to the great labor force
And by the time I'm ready to retire
I'll look at life with great remorse

I'll be too beat up and old
To enjoy the spoils of my labor
What about you?
I ask my neighbor

Tis true .....
It's for honoring the working class
But, every check I get
Taxes far surpass

Ten dollars into Uncle Sam's pocket
And just a dime in my pocket goes
Wait a minute here .....
What's wrong with that ratio

And, no matter how long or hard I work
I still owe
So, what the heck
A-fishin' I will go!!
