A Butterfly

A Butterfly came to visit me today
On the window screen,
I looked up and there he was
spreading his wings
for me In the sunlight what a majesty



A Butterfly came to visit me today
Just stopping to say hi
from across the miles,
telling me not to cry,
I wiped the tears from my eyes,
I asked him to stay awhile,
As I began to smile.



A Butterfly came to visit me today
the colors of his wings
glorious In the sunlight,
I wondered who he might be
was it God's way
of sending peace to me?



A Butterfly came and stayed today
open winged for me,
a butterfly came to visit,
The gift of peace he did bring.



As he flew away
I could here the birds sing
You will have happiness again,
A Butterfly came to visit today,
leaving hope delivered on his wings.
